Accra, Ghana

Accra is the capital and most populous city of the Greater Accra Region and the Republic of Ghana, with an estimated urban population of 2.27 million as of 2012. The city is dirty with full of trash. Very corrupted. Upon arrival at the airport, immigration office asks openly for bribe with no shame.

Accra stretches along the Ghanaian Atlantic coast and extends north inland. Originally built around three different settlements, including a port (Jamestown), it served as the capital of the British Gold Coast between 1877 and 1957. The climate is very hot and humid during my time there in January.
